Next we jumped on a Cable Car (waited quite a while) and headed down to Fisherman's Wharf. I had so much fun hanging off the side of the trolley even though it was kind of scary!! Every cable car is still run by a conductor. The cable car is pulled along it's hilly track by an underground cable. The conductors operate three separate braking mechanisms for each of these heavy cars (thank goodness because some of the hill are super steep and wouldn't want a run away car!) They also ring a loud bell when leaving a stop!
We waited at this corner for a trolley that wasn't full. We bought our ticket from the conductor as we boarded, it was only $5.00 each way for a fun ride up and down the hills of San Fran. It only stopped for a split second then it was off again!!
Hanging on for dear life!!
The trolley stopped made a quick stop at the top of the crooked street! Beautiful view!
We were on a mission to find In-N-Out burger joint for lunch. Everyone loves these burgers but they are Rustys all time favorite. He kept telling us I am going to order 2 double doubles and he did!! He was one happy man! (cant you tell!) Everything is made fresh to order. There are no microwaves or freezers. Click HERE to read more about In-N-Out.
Made it to the Wharf!!
Fresh Crab :)
It was a beautiful and warm day in San Fran!!! I think we lucked out!
