Christmas in Texas

Christmas in Texas is so nice #1 reason because it WARM! Just kidding - its to be with family you love and most I haven't seen in a year! But arriving in Houston it was 70! Mom & I shopped, got a mani & pedi, and prepared for everyone to come over on Christmas day.

Who is with me in the photo below?? Mom or Aunt Barb?
On Christmas Eve we drive from The Woodlands to Memorial which is about 45min to my Aunts in-laws home. We had a ham dinner with lots of yummy sides.
Daughters with their Moms!

Karen & Memaw...can you guess whats in their "fancy" cups?
Home made Eggnog!
Christmas Day at my parents...they even hung traditional stocking for us!
Opening presents with a little bubbly!
The champagne we had was from Schramsberg, a winery we toured in Napa!
Dad loves his new Uggs!
Later that evening everyone arrived for dinner.
Memaw with her grandchildren
Like my scarf? Find it HERE Received it as a gift from a woman at work.
It was hand made by a woman in Guatemala!
Mom getting the rolls ready!
Our main course: Turducken
What is Turducken you may ask?? Well its turkey, duck, and chicken!! It was delish! My favorite parts were the Duck & Turkey. In the photo below you can see the different layers. Mom went to Herberts (pronounced A Bears) a cajun meet market in The Woodlands. Herberts original store is located just south of Lafayette, LA. For more info click HERE
I will leave you with this photo...ha!
