Prayers to Haiti

It is so tragic and sad what has happened in Haiti. A country already in bad shape has been hit with this huge disaster. Jeremy's Grandpa, Rev. Wayne Ray, has been a missionary for Haiti for 31 years. He has built many schools, churches, and orphanages. A school has been built in Regina's, Jeremy's sister, name. Grandpa was scheduled to be there when the earthquake hit but "some things" came up and pushed his travel to Haiti back until February. While in Haiti they stay in the town of Port-au-Prince, the country's capital and where the earthquake hit the hardest. Knowing of Grandpa's work in Haiti The Oklahoman, Oklahoma City's newspaper, called to check on him. Click HERE to read more about Grandpa and his comments on what has happened in Haiti. Not only are there many people like Grandpa there for a short stay doing missionary work, I also learned there are an estimated 40,000 to 45,000 Americans who live in Haiti. Prayers go out to everyone in Haiti.
I wanted to share the monthly newsletter we receive from Grandpa's Missionary Outreach. As you can see by the article things were looking up for Haiti but how things have changed. If you feel the need to help this poor country, any contribution would be greatly appreciated. Even a $1 goes a looong way in that country. The address is at the top of the newsletter.
